Cincinnati Flower show parent to put roots down in Symmes Twp.

The Cincinnati Horticultural Society, which in 2009 will relocate its annual flower show to Symmes Township, is planning to transform the nearby historic Meade House into a permanent center that will feature year-round demonstration gardens, classrooms and other programs to vastly expand its operations.
The nonprofit group plans to move into the seven-acre site following the annual Cincinnati Flower Show at Symmes Park in April. In what likely will be a multimillion-dollar investment, it will refurbish the century-old Meade House and expects to build an additional building on the site for classes, demonstrations and, it is hoped, a greenhouse. The society will maintain its offices and warehouse in Oakley.
