Institute teaches directors skills to lead nonprofits

Becky Costello had never been a manager, much less the person in charge, when she became executive director of Wesley Chapel Mission Center in 2005.

And while she had a strong passion for the center's mission – providing free after-school child care and other support services for families in Over-the-Rhine – she sometimes felt overwhelmed by the mountains of work and competing priorities that came with running the nonprofit.
